Took the dive... finally! SHOCK Questions... JK on XJ
ok, so I finally took the dive into a lift, frankensteining it together with the following.
RE 3.5 coils
RE 3.5 Leafs
RE Track Bar
RE TC drop
RE U-Bolts
RC sway links
RC control arms
Now I am onto shocks...
and my main question is I see this JK shocks put on the XJ, and I think this is the route I want to go. BUT, can I jsut buy JK replacement shocks, say from Advance Auto.. swap the necessary parts and be good? or is it need to be factory parts?
The reason I ask, I can get 40 off each 100 dollar order from Advance. so I can get 2 shocks for about 65 bucks.. throw in a couple other things I need to bring the order up to 75, and get free shipping.
They are the Monroe Sensatracs, Part numbers 37287 and 37285. If these will give me a better ride than RC hydros, then Im all in for that and swapping the bar pins over. Any info on this is appreciated.. Thanks!
