Default Too much? Just right?

I am not asking which is the best suspension lift as I am sure that's been asked once or twice, but I will ask opinions on the lift kit I am looking at.
My Cherokee will be a daily driver, it will do it's share of off road and we just don't have mud here our terrain is very rocky and very hard! During spring it is not uncommon for me to get flooded in! My house doesn't get flooded but my only road in or out of town can be under 7' of water! The only way to get in or out of town is some very narrow cattle trails and a couple wildlife tunnels (nothing too rough but you aren't using them in a car!)

So here is what I'm looking at is it more then I'll need or will it work for me?

Hey the Jeep needs to look good as well!

That would be over kill for me. But it will work and ride pretty good. How tall are the tunnels you have to go through?

I'd have to go and look but a 4x4 F150 goes through and clears easily

At 4" lift and 235's my roof is just under 6'.. So 5.5" and 33's would be like ~6 1/2'

I think you be ok.. :/

I live in Pompey's Pillar MT. Population 72, Which is only 30 miles from Billings but in bad weather it can be more isolated then it really is!

i have nothing but good things to say about rubicon express. well worth the money.

i had their 5.5 inch extreme duty short arm kit with drop brackets for 5 years. smoothest ride ever, even smoother than my 8 inch long arm kit i have now. (but i have skyjacker coils with RE leafs).

so 5.5 inch long arms on 33's would be just perfect, in my opinion. good choice. don't let anyone talk you out of it. you will not be disappointed.

Welcome to CF. I'm from Western Montana so I understand exactly what you're talking about.

If you want to go with long arms I would look into a 3 link or 4 link. If you're going to spend that kind of cash don't go with radius arms. I debated upgrading my RE 4.5" to the RE long arms but decided on a rock krawler 3 link setup instead, have to say it was a much better way to go.

Look I am not against advice but I don't want to buy anything but quality!!! I am 45 I make good money and have never been married nor do I have kids so a $2k price tag doesn't bother me that much.

If you don't mind paying for quality look into clayton or rock krawler kits.
