TJ Fender flare Mounting Help
First let me say that Ive been searching and searching for an answer to this question and have had no luck. that being said, heres my problem:
I have a set of 4 rear TJ Wrangler fender flares to mount on my already trimmed front and rear fenders. IVe already marked the holes on the body of my Cherokee where the mounting hardware needs to go but I cant for the life of me figure out how to mount or even what kind of hardware to use on the rear flares.
Theres no way to attach a bolt through the rear quarter panels bescuase of the fender wells and I cant just use sheet metal screws becuse theres no way to fit a drill in between the front and back of the fender flare like you can with a wrench. How did you guys do it?
Ive been looking through writeups and this step is only documented as " then I mounted the rear flares." Thanks in advance for the insight.

Right that makes good sense, but the problem is the face of the flare itself covers the mounting hole so the screws would go in extremely crooked. I was thinking of using some kind of u joint adapter on a screwdriver or something but I don't think that will work either if it even exists which I don't think it does. Anyone who's done this please chime in.

Like he said. mark the holes with something, get a smaller that your screw drill bit for a polot hole, drill it than put the fenders up and use a wrench to turn them in. Its gonna suck chefs salty *****, but it looks like your gonna have to start licking
-Socket wrench... Perfect

yea..using a wrench is your best bet. since theres only like an inch of room to work with lol but if your lucky enough to find a tiny socket wrench that fits in there. i think it took me like half an hour to take of the rear stock fenders from my gf's tj. and it took me less time to install the bushwackers lol.
so its a lil time consuming but if you want them on your jeep...its well worth the work

Good deal, thanks fellas. I could probably dig. Up a small socket if not just get ahold os a rfatcheting wrench. Maybe that tongue piercing will come in handy after all.

after you mark the hole run the self tappers in and back out then install the flares much easier after self tapper makes its own hole
