Default Tire Widths-15x8 wheel

What's the widest tire I could fit on this wheel? May be a stupid question. Don't know much about tires and wheels. http://www.4wd.com/Jeep-Wheels-Jeep-..._pn=PCW82-5865

All depends on tire height but I run 12.50s on mine and they work fine. 14.50 would look kinda funny. BTW you can get the same wheel from Summit for 10 bucks less.

A 12.5" wide tire will be approx 10.5" wide lip to lip, which would be fine on an 8" wide wheel.

So I'll be able to fit 12.5" wide tires and downward ?

If you're using it as a DD, 31x10.50x15 would be a good way to go. Are you lifted, and do you have clearance for taller and wider than stock?

4" lift rear, 3" front, trimmed up front. I'm doing 31x10.5 tires once I can afford em. And I like those rims. Haha.

What you need to do is look at what tire your planning on running and check that manufatures wheel width recommendation is. Tire manufatures have wheel width recommendations for a reason and it's due to heat build up in the tire in certain spots on the tire.If to much heat builds up in the wrong spot due to wrong wheels a tire failure could result.

For anything under 11.50 I would run a 7" rim personally.
