Onetype

Im running 255/85/16 bighorns right now on 7inch soft 8's, the back 2 are still new but the fronts have a considerable amount of wear on the outside with the pass side being a little worse. Anyway it seems these arent as easy to find as they used to be and the price has gone up. Since I will need to put some money into my front end I need to save where I can. My question is can I run 285/75/16's? From what I can tell the only difference is the width and not by much.

What state do you live in? I'm assuming you are talking about the Maxxis Bighorn. Should be available @ any Les Schwab. 285 is 30mm or just over an inch wider, also a 7 inch wide wheel is the narrowest you can run a 285 on, so it will bow the center of the tire out some, and you won't get as good of mileage on the tires.
