Tire pressure on 245/75-16 MTR's on Moabs?
I just mounted a new set of old style MTR's on Moabs on my cherokee and was wondering if anyone here had done a chalk test on the same setup. These tires are load range "E" and I have done a search on Google as well as here in the forum and I can't find anyone that has done a chalk test or that has a copy of the load/pressure chart that Used to be on the internet for the old non Kevlar MTR's. Max pressure on the sidewall is 80psi and the shop that did the install put them at 35. Rubicons had these on at the factory and weigh significantly more so I was thinking between 28-30.
The roads here in MD are covered with salt so a chalk test is out of the question for the next few weeks. I can't even find a side street without salt.

Bump for the day crowd. Maybe someone ran a set of Rubicon takeoffs and could give some input.

Set it at 31. Thanks. Once the weather breaks I plan on weighing it at the scales and finding out how much weight is on front and rear axles. Drives much better now.

Every tire is different. Even tire to tire in the same lot. I bought four tires at the same time. Three run at 33 psi and one runs at 30 psi to get them all to wear even. You need to do the chalk test on each tire for yourself.
