Time to start figuring out the lift......
Ok so my 89' XJ is running good, front end has been gone through and I just picked up a new set of 31x10.5x15's for it. Front fenders are trimmed, rear quarters have been cut and rolled so now it time for a little lift. I'm looking at going no more than 3" and want it to be affordable seeing that this is my daily driver. So this is the kit that I'm looking at: http://4x4.fatbobsgarage.com/jeep-ch...001-p7511.aspx My question and or questions are what else do you recommend or think I should get to go with this kit. Looking more or less for a LCG set up rather than sky high.
Thanks for the input,

If I was you I'd just save up to get a full spring lift. No sense is spending the 300 bucks for a BB if you're just gonna regret it later and end up buying a 3'' spring lift anyways. I went with zone offroad. I love the kit they have. Had it since last July and haven't noticed sagging or anything like that. I'd get discos and the adj. track bar too. I also got the t-case drop just to be safe because I didn't have the money for a SYE. no driveline vibes though. Good luck!

Thanks for the input but I just don't want to spend that amount of money. Like I said it's my DD and see's very limited off road use. And from the info I have read all of that isn't really needed to do a LCG set up. I just want it set up enough for those camping trips and if we decide to do a little trail running from time to time.

Contact forum member "AOR" he's a Zone lift kit vendor. I got my 3" kit through him for just over $500 shipped to my door. But you'll most likely need an adj track bar which can run about $125. Like stated above, save up for a full kit, you won't regret it.

You'll also need either a sway bar drop bracket or extended sway bar links too. You can get away with the stock brake lines if you don't flex the suspension but you'll definitely need them for you're going to go off-road.

You can do a lot better than that, for the money.
Check Craigslist.
Check the for sale section here.
Build a bastard pack for the rear and get coil springs off craigslist, then spend your money on good shocks or LCAs...

this was the other option I was looking at: http://4x4.fatbobsgarage.com/jeep-ch...001-p8703.aspx
Guys please understand that I don't want to spend a crap ton of money on this and as far as putting it together with Junk Yard parts it's not an option. I work on the road and can be in either Idaho, Montana or my home state of Washington for 3 or more days at a time in different towns so I don't have the time to hunt for parts. And CL here for Jeep parts is very slim picking. My jeep spends the most time sitting parked at our shop locked up for the week.
