Default Tierod Ends?

i wanted to change the tierod bar on my xj to one from a grandcherokee and i just dont know what ends to use... would it be the inner or outter tierod end from the grandcherokee? i have the smaller bar from the grand cherokee and i was thinking the outter ends for it because theyre not as curvey as the inners but i want to check befor i go ahead and do it...

thanks guys

I6 242ci ZJ tierod is the same as the XJ tie rod. The TRE's are same for both. The solid stock, larger tierod from a V8 ZJ I think uses the same ends as well. Unless you can find a V8 one for cheap, I would just go with a beefy aftermarket one, if not an aftermarket steering setup.

The WJ has cross over steering so its nothing like XJ/ZJ/YJ/TJ steering. I dont know what bar you have but I dont think it will work.

I bought the Moog tie rod end last night, I forget what that ones part number is.

And, of course, I forgot the adjuster sleeve.

The up grade is to a ZJ V8 tie rod set up not a WJ. The ZJ V8 has a long one inch diameter solid tie rod end that bolts up to the stock XJ steering system and it is real beef. I have slid over rocks on mine and it has held up to the abuse.
These are the parts you want.
>#DS1312 Long Tie rod end
>#ES3096 Tie rod End
>#ES2079S Adjuster Sleeve
Took me about 35-40 minuets to change.
