Another dw issue, other day I went to visit some family and was off my daily route to and from work and some horribly paved roads.
Dw 5 times easily set off
2000 xj, recently lifted 3 inch rough country with lca. Drove it for 3 days then took it to an alignment shop.
Noticed when going down a slight decline (dont know if that matters) but turning sharp to the left and hit small bump got a loud clunk sound. Looked didnt see any thing wrong. Left for family's place and this is when dw kept accruing. Drove last 2 days nothing happened and then today pulling into work (left again) the clunk which sounds like its coming from down by my feet defiantly drivers side.
Tried checking for play but how do you tell if the track bar end connected to frame is bad

If you have any worn out joints whether its steering or TB a lift will amplify the problem and make it more noticeable. Did you change TB if not you should as most of them probably have never been changed on a stock height suspension. To check I would drop the TB at the axle end and push and pull to feel for play also check all your tie rod joints. More than likely its one of these if not a combination giving you your issues

I figured alignment shop would have noticed any sloop in the steering since they did the alignment and also checked for pa inspection.

I just fixed a nasty clunking sound by replacing my motor mounts. The left one was completely trashed.
What was happening was that the transfer case was hitting its skid plate on certain bumps.
It's worth a close look.
