Throttle bodies
So I'm curious. My favorite place is JYs. I'm a budget build kind of guy. What larger then stock throttle bodies will work with my 1996? I'm aiming for more power obviously.

I don't know of any other cars that will bolt right up. The EBay ones are good though.. Don't go lager than 62mm. Useless at best. The www.strokedjeep.com guy seems to make a great quality kit but I was on his wait list for months before going to another place. He does great work though.
It wouldn't be too hard to do it yourself either.

So I'm going to go ahead and remove my TB and take it all apart, take it to a machine shop to bore it out to(I'm thinking) 62mm all the way through the TB. Then I'll be getting a new butterfly for the TB and I'll be good to go. Anything I need to watch out for? Anything I'm missing?

Youre best bet is to have the machine shop cut w new one, to match the throttle body bore. I just had a machine shop remove the lip from mine and now im having idle issues.

Your having issues since they removed the lip on the throttle body or the lip on the butterfly?

www.strokedjeep.com. Pay him and he sends you a bored TB. Return yours for core credit after you get the bored one put on. About $100 plus freight net cost. .
