Third brake light upgrade
I recently purchased this Jeep and have been going over it w/a fine toooth comb, working out the bugs. I noticed that when the brakes were applied that only half of the third brake light lit up. When, I pulled it apart, both bulbs were in their sockets and working; unfortunately, one of the two sockets were just hanging there because the brake light housing busted up. When I looked at the housing, I also noticed that both sides had holes melted in them.
I ended up cutting the socket holders off and making the back side of the housing flat. Seeing as how the bulbs had melted the housing, I lined the inside w/ some aluminum tape to aid w/ reflection. Then, used a piece of lexan to seal the housing. I have a huge roll of RGB LEDs, so I ended up mounting about a 4" piece to the inner side of the lexan before "sealing the deal". To make it a more factory fit, I just soldered the original pigtail from the bulbs to the LED strip, so I can just plug it directly in to the factory harness. And WAH-LAH!

Just in case, I install an alarm in the future, I also added a separate led inside; to wire to the the alarm. No pics yet... but I will.
