Temperature Reading!
I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4.0 6 cylinder engine. It is lifted 4 inches with 32's (don't know if this is a factor). My temperature has been reading between 210-220 with the AC on and in about 80 degree weather. I have had my radiator flushed twice and had a new thermostat installed. Is my temperature normal?
This is how high my temp got on an 80 degree day with the AC on.

Seems a little high, but you do have the AC on. I have a 98 4.0 also and it does take some work to keep her cool. I feel that the factory cooling system really benefits from allowing the engine compartment to breathe better. Hood louvers are a great solution. Also you can go the route I did and install a Spectre Cowl Intake, that way the engine is always breathing cool fresh air.
Your on the right track tho with ensuring that your cooling system is in good shape with flushes and tstat.

Either the sensor is putting out bad data or the mechanical (viscous) fan is not working properly. You can buy an IR temperature reader for little money these days, worth having. Then get a temperature reading on the thermostat housing and compare it to the gauge.
