Default Taurus Fan Swap?

I have been having overheating problems with my car. I have dual plastic fans attached to oil coolers on the back of my radiator as coolers, but they arnt powerfull enough and dont run welll.

I have been reading around and found that alot of peole with xj's swap in a 3.8l v6 taurus fan because of the high power and different speed setups.

Has anyone on here done this? and will it fit on top of my oil cooler, or will I have to mount that on the front of the radiator? I think it will solve all my problems but need more info

There's a good write up over on naxja. Essentially it involves taking the left side fan from a duel fanned taurus and mounting it inside the xj's mechanical fan shroud. The duel speed you refer to is the taurus fan has 2 positive leads in which you can write a resistor into one of them to get a low speed setting.

Yes the Taurus fan has a higher cfm rating, even more than the newest stock xj fans
