Default Tapered insert vs reamed

I'm going OTK, using GM 1-ton tie rods. Need to make the openings on my knuckles and pitman arm larger.

I've seen a good reamer for $80. I've seen tapered inserts from Serious Offroad for (iirc) $25.

Seems like a no-brainer to me, but thats based solely on cost.

Is there a reason to go with an actual reamer?

I *think* I've already got the bit, but I suppose that should be considered as well.

Are those inserts pressed in? Or they just kinda get sandwiched in there? Either way never heard anyway say my tapered insert failed. If you only need one more... I'd just get an insert.

They should drop in. There is a cut down an entire side, so even if it os pressed it it'd be rather easy.
