Tree grabbers, best known for breaking out your tail lights. You'd be better off with boxes: http://www.jcroffroad.com/product/XJTH-97.html

Yeah no one makes them anymore and off road they get hung up on stuff and smash or rip out your tail light.

I own a set like in the picture that I picked up used for $25 shipped. Just dumb luck on my part. If I still thrashed around in the woods and whatnot I would not run these. I am older now and the Jeep is just a DD. Bought them for the look and nothing more. I can plainly see that the first thing you catch will rip your taillight right out and probably put a nice little crease in your hatch.

JMO but the only ones I would use would be the ones that come on the quarter panel armor.

To the OP, I would rather break a cheap and easy to replace tail light than possibly smash in a metal fender. I am with Fred; if I had some, I would want them mounted to something other than sheetmetal.

ROFL...Thanks! Tin foil, everyone can do it. Plus it works just as good as those expensive ones out there today..
