SYE question np 231
I installed an advance adapter kit and I pretty sure I did it right. There was what appeared to be an extra snap ring. It is the same size as the one on the main drive gear assembly under the chain on the output shaft. I figured it must be for another application. the only concern I think have is when the transfer case is standing on end it feels like the chain gets hung up, when its in operating position it feels fine. Does this seem normal?

If you lay it flat and it spins over fine then id say it's fine. I had 2 extra rings when I was done with my RR sye that they say is identical to the AA one so I'd say your fine. Just make sure you can shift into all positions before you put it in.

I sure hope they give an extra snap ring. I just installed one of these from seriousoffroad last night and we were left with an extra snap ring (large one) and a spare of the blue speedo gear lol

Thanks for helping out, mine was a large one also. Good to hear we all got spare parts, not that we'll need those ones though. Mine seems fine, I shifted it through the range while in the proper position and it worked fine.
