SYE install Diveshaft Vibes and Angles???
Hey guys I just want to make sure I'm correct in my findings here.
I installed a new SYE (Advanced Adapters) and got a new custom drive shaft.. I've still got some pretty bad vibes at 30-40 mph and at highway speeds.. I know that my pinion angle vs. drive shaft angle is not right. So I got out the old angle finder and this is what I've found. My pinion angle reads right between 85/85* my drive line is at 75* so I've read a bunch of posts including the tech section on the Tom Woods site and I know that with a double cardan style shaft, the two angles here need to be the same, (minus) 2* to compensate for axle wrap... So there's about a 10* difference and if I'm doing the math right I need an 8* in shim???
This first pic is my Pinion angle

I had vibes since I installed a 3" lift. So I did a TC drop.. It fixed the vibes somewhat. Then finally got the SYE and removed the TC drop. The vibes are back. It's obvious my pinion angle is out. Just want to make sure I get the proper shim. Ill re measure on the pinion yoke today. I originally measured on the housing as directed on the tom woods site.

Ok measured at the pinion.. I've still got about a 10deg difference... I'm convinced I need a 4 deg shim...
Here's my math
Say the drive line is currently sitting at 15 deg and I add a 4deg shim to the axle this will decrease my driveline angle to about 11 deg
Say my pinion is at 5 deg and I add the 4 deg shim to it this will increase my pinion angle to about 9 deg
11deg driveline with a 9deg pinion leave a 2deg difference to compensate for axle wrap etc..
