I'd suggest get a kit. Most trailer hubs are made of cast metal. makes it hard to weld to. There are some reasonably priced kits out there now days. Not like 10 years ago or so. 
Some of the vendors on here sell them also. JCR comes to mind as offering an almost complete DIY kit. Do some searching and get what suites your needs.. I'll show you what I'm using when I get home and away from my work computer. Can't post pics on it.
