Default Sway disconnects difficult to remove

New discos on 2001 XJ. 3" zone lift.
First time trying to remove the discos and after removing the pin, the bottoms are extremely tight. Tried a rubber mallet, but didn't work. Understand sometimes more force is the answer, but don't want to bend anything. Are there some hints or something I'm missing? Newbie, go easy.

Make sure you are parked on flat ground first. If that doesn't work, pound it off with the rubber mallet

Try putting thin coat of grease on bushing and mount. That used to work for Mr

A few years ago, I was leaving the trail to head home (2 hour drive or so) and I forgot to hook my sway bar up. Didn't figure it out till I got home and haven't put a sway bar back on since. I honestly prefer the way it drives without the bar hooked up
