Lots of stuff.

Snorkel, lots of dielectric grease, and lots of work sealing up electrical components.

Do some searching.

How deep of water? Do you just want to keep it running or are you trying to keep water out of the cab too?

Keeping it out of the cab would be a bad idea.

The truck would partially float, and traction would GREATLY suffer.

BTW, if you're planning on driving under water.. I'd invest in a good snorkel :D .. for yourself. Because its gonna be kinda hard to breath.

ol'DixieJeep 02-20-2012 02:03 PM

transmission vents TC vents oil dipstick and trans stick... all of these4 things can take in water and ruin the drivetrain.

its been done but theres more work than ya think. all the electronics have to be sealed.

post a video up if you do it lol

are you looking to only get safely through a deep water hole on the trail, or are you looking to go deep sea driving?

Epic WIN!

most points have been covered. But it is important to make the sur ethe breathers don't get submerged. and water proof your dizzy (if you have one, was laughing to hard to notice the year...

Scuba gear would be more user friendly, would ruin a day wheeling by getting the snorkel hung on an obstacle. Scuba, would be contained inside the cab, this is the only way to do this. One point not covered, replace mechanical fan with a switched Efan, exhaust stack, lots of back pressure, under water.
