There is enough room. Custom box is necessary. Very tight space though. I would not recommend for sound purposes. Plus graphite custom box is very expensive.

there are usually better ways to do stereo. slim subs and slim boxes before custom work... at least for db's... there should be a space in back on pass. side that is already a little recessed. if you wanna do some custom work, then use that preexisting pocket and make a custom box to fit it. i was thinking along almost similar lines; i want to hide my amp under the rear seat... or a false floor for the entire rear to hide anything and everything... either way, if you want cusom dont expect it to sound as good as a regular box. and hell, just doing a sick custom enclosure is fun enough

you should make sure that the amp will be getting good ventilation. Heat is the #1 killer of amplifiers.

I think alpine's s series would fit good. box would have to be custom. go non ported .9 CF per sub, is you happen to go 10 inch size. might have to build the box inside the Jeep. Done it before, measure 3 times before you cut. 3/4 MDF would be plenty, seal the box with weatherstripping glue.

I have a factory Infinity AMP under my rear seat, I can measure it if that would help....being factory it fits nicely and works great.

heres a pic if that also helps....and it's on the drivers side.
