Stupid eye bolt
So i got my lift on, had to rebolt my shocks in, and now the leaf spring eye bolt is about all but 1in in, and it just spins, The leaf needs to go back, and im not sure how to line it up, everything is together but that
So my question is How?
Could I put the wheels on let the jeep weight fall push it back, then rachet it in, or what?
Ps the welded nuts arent broke, its just the leaf is to far to the back

IF not.......a ratchet strap around the axle and attached somewhere solid will help you pull the axle whatever direction you want it to go
I never ever go wheeling without at least one big one with me.

Wrap a ratchet strap around the axle and pull it whichever way you need to pull it to line the bolt up. Again, sounding like BimmerJeeper. You even live near him.

Take a crow bar and wedge it around where the leaf mounts and pry different ways till you can get the bolt to thread, always works for me. Having a 2nd set of hands is easier, but its not bad to do solo.

The ratchet strap and (carefully) letting the jack down both seem like good ideas. Hey, I'm in York, too! Whereabouts in York are you located? Always looking for new Jeep buddies.
