Default stock aluminum vs steel

Hi. Just wanted some opinion on wheels. I have a 2000 sport with stock steel rims. I have a chance to get a good deal on some older aluminum rims from a stock '90's jeep. Should I do it? I am planning on getting 30x9.5x15 tires at some point. These are the rims.

Well, it's my neighbors. I was going to offer them $100, and give them my steel rims if they want/need them. I would still have to pay for the mount and balance on both. Or I could buy the entire jeep for $500. It has a rebuilt 4.0, good transmission and transfer case. The front end has death wobble and two of the four doors won't open. The power locks must have a short or an open. The body is pretty beat. It has rust on the quarters. Interior is not great either. I have no need for any of the other parts on the jeep. The guy is not sure if he is going to sell it or donate it.

You can part out the motor, TC, and xmission and make more than the $500 back...plus whatever else you can sell through parting it out. You would also get those wheels essentially for free and probably make more than enough to mount your tires on them.

I would ask him if he would take $400 for it and you will the whole thing off his hands now. The parts are worth quite a bit more than what he's asking but try for $400 you can always come up to........$450

You never know when you might need one of these items yourself and the body alone will scrap for over $200 after you strip it out. If his is a pre 2000 you could get the HPD30 out of it and replace yours with the LPD30 a nice upgrade if you off road yours more clearance.

Buy it ALL!

I was thinking about buying the whole thing, then my wife asked me "where are you going to put it?".....uh- in the driveway? she just gave me a look.....we live in a subdivision on a 1/4 acre lot. The driveway would fit 3, maybe 4 cars if I didn't have my F550 work truck parked in it.
