steering wheel cocked half way to the left after trac bar install
Wish I knew how to follow directions, but me and a buddy installed a new iron rock double shear track bar on my 99 xj and upon test driving it the steering wheel is straight up sideways now. Now I know I am a bonehead because I installed the track bar while the truck was driven up on standard ramps, but I didn't touch any steering components so I am confused.
I got an alignment after my lift a few weeks ago, but i`m sure the warranty wouldn't help me on this one.
Any ideas on why the wheel would be rotated 180 degrees? And how can I fix?
I appreciate it guys!

If you think your alignment is still good then you can pull the back of the steering box off and you have to turn the gear inside untill your steering wheel lines up straight again, also i think you can loosen the adjuster sleeve on your tie rod until it lines up again idk if tht works 100 percent or not but iam sure somone will correct me

I appreciate the response, ya I am just really confused because I did not touch the tie rod, drag link, pitman arm etc... JUST the track bar.

hmmm so back to NTB it sounds. But yes my axle is 9.5 inches on both sides so it measures out ok, and the shake at 50 mph is MUCH better after the install.

no need to take apart the steering box. it's so much easier than that.
when you installed the track bar, it will shift the axle, so without touching any tie rod ends or steering components, you're drag link will be affected, therefor affecting your steering wheel position.
no biggie, as said, all you need to do is locate the adjuster sleeve on your drag link. it's the one right at the pitman arm.
loosen those two bolts (13mm i think) and turn the sleeve either up or down. whichever way moves the steering wheel in the proper direction.
when steering wheel is centered, tighten those bolts back up and you're done.
just be sure the front wheels are pointing straight before you start.
cheers.
