Default steering set up for 35

Ok guys I'm running 33's right now and I'm planning on running 35's by summer. Right now my steering is stock and I was wondering if I could run 35's with a beefed up adj track bar and a grand cherokee tie rod or do I need to run a 1 ton setup?

1ton is better as the main arm is the week link in the system at that point

What front axle are you running? I have a d30 & I did the currie steering. I am running 35. I would also add the steering box brace & the RE unibody brace. You will feel a big difference when you are on the freeway.

I am very happy with my set up. I also had the steering box plated & tied into my bumper for added strength. Once you do that, that should be rock sold. I know it is for me.

absolutely, i drive it on the highway everyday.

in fact, i drive it 323 miles one way to Rausch Creek in pennsylvania, wheel all weekend, then drive it 323 miles back home to CT.

people dont like heims on DD's because they tend to get noisy/squeeky and if you break one its not like you can go to the nearest parts store and grab one off the shelf

i think most people here the word "heim" and immediately get scared away because its not a traditional TRE. i just always keep spares on me and spray them with some white lithium grease

best picture i can find of it

Heims have been on my rig for three years. The ball joint on the pitman arm is a little sloppy but the heims on the other end of the draglink and the tierod are still tight. I don't grease or oil my heims. I do grease the ball joint. I don't drive it daily but it gets driven several times a week.
