Default Steering pics

I just searched and came up with many pages of steering related info but not a dedicated page. Maybe we can start it here. Please post pictures of your upgraded steering setup along with useful info about it. Include what size lift your rig has. If this has been done and I missed it I'm sorry. I really did search as best as I could on my iPhone.

what kind of info are you looking for exactly. I have one XJ, 3.5, with the Currie HD steering and another XJ, around 5.5-6 in of suspension with Offroad Only U-turn steering. Never took a pic of my steering setups..

happy with both. one is priced around 450 and the other around 650.

Binding issues, trac bar setups, bumpsteer and wandering or loose steering would be good info. You know... Pros and cons. Everyone has an opinion and I'd like to hear them.

4.5" 3-link long arm
Rusty's HD tie rod conversion
Rusty's 2" drop pitman
Rusty's trac bar
Rusty's steering box brace
JKS quick disconnects
Energy Suspension sway bar mounts
Moog control arm bushings
Spicer ball joints

And finally I got mine to quite shakin...at least that's what I told the wife... But seriously I'm planning to do a double shear setup on the trac bar to get rid of the last bits of steering play; I wish I had looked into that more.

I think the bee's knee's of trac bars is a double shear setup with close tolerance bolt holes. Screw TRE's and heims for that connection. Also I don't like how my Rusty's tie rod drags across the the trac bar bolt head when the wheel is hard over. I bet I'll end up over the knuckle with heims.

3/4 heims and 1.5" .25" wall DOM. No bind, no wobble, no bumpsteer and strong enough for my hydro assist I'm putting together.
