alot of people use the currie setup very beefed up stock steering, but other companies like jcr and ironrockoffroad have over the knuckle and 1 ton steering setups, but those use heims i believe on all ends

I have had good luck with my "Bullet proof steering" steering setup !! I have the over the knuckle setup and the upgraded tube's and HD hiem joint's. The joint's are hand made and don't seem the wear out or get sloppy like some other's. I plan on getting the track bar and braket in the future !!

this is what's going on my heep for this year.
but for everyday use, you could just get a v8 grand cherokee tie rod/drag link setup.
also, the currie setup is tough.

Caged, that looks nice, but expensive. My son built me a setup for my Blazer, total cost 287.00. It is nice to be able to set with the tires up against a tree or rock, and still be able to turn your tires and not blow a power steering pump.

my buddy is a psc dealer, so he's gonna get me set up.
but as for cheap and reliable, grab the solid parts off the v8 grand.
junk yards will usually sell these parts for cheap.

Best and $400 are two completely different things. I run heims which are rated at 40k lbs and it works well for me. Plan on putting hydro assist on it later this year. I built my own tie rod and drag link out of 1.5" .25 DOM so it's heavy but not going to bend. Tire size and what you use it for will dictate what you need.

Yeah, my son used a ram from a small aftermarket shop that has since went out of business. When I slid off a rock and bent the ram rod, my son had to machine a new one and rebuild the cylinder, so going with PSC is probably better.
