Starter issues.
I I installed a higher amp alternator on my 98 with a 4.0, automatic. It's supposed to run at 175 AMPs. I installed a new starter at the same time but two weeks have gone by and the starter has gone out again. I know I could just have a bad starter, but is it possible that it could be caused by the alternator? I did not change the battery cables because they looked to be 4 gauge but I could be wrong. Is there any place else I should check first?

Can't see how the alternator would affect the starter.. the only time they are ever used at the same time is if you turn the key with the motor running. P{robably has more to do with battery and ground connections.. Or bad starter. or bad ignition switch. or relay
