Squeaky Springs
So I installed new rear leaf springs and everything was fine for a couple of weeks. Then they started squeaking TERRIBLY bad! I sprayed them with silicone lubricant and they stopped for a day or two and it came back. Repeated several times. Loosened every thing up and re-torqued back to speck, and bought a grease needle injector (think hypodermic needle for a grease gun). Lubed between all the leafs where the "nylon sliders" are between leafs. Rode like a charm and then started again this evening coming back from the river. I have the grease-able RR shackles. Any ideas how to fix permanently???
Also put all new leaf spring bushings in, and on the front spring eyes they slide back and forth when i make sharp turns (1/4 inch).... normal???

My rear leafs did that.I pryed the leafs apart with a huge screw driver and gave them a bath in Wd40.Could have been lil grit or dirt in there and the Wd 40 bath washed it out,I don't really know but it stopped after that!

Yeah, I'm thinking either the bushings are not quite the correct diameter or the spring eyes are slightly larger than spec....
The leaves are also painted, thought about removing the paint on the wear points and greasing there really well on the plastic shims....?
