I am looking into building either some d44 or d60 axles and was wondering if more or less splines are better and why

lol

Nice explanation.

Isn't this the part where someone posts the whole "If you _____ know, then you're in ____ _____ _____." comment?

Basically, he's saying if you have to ask which is better, maybe you've got more research time in front of you.

More splines means more contact pattern so basically stronger. Size makes a difference as well. A D60 30 spline shaft is stronger than a D44 30 spline shaft.
