Default Speedo Plug

I'm going to be doing a SYE kit soon and am getting things together. I got the speed sensor and gear but am coming up blank for the plug so it can be wired. My 86 XJ has a mechanical speedo and am going to run a aftermarket electronic speedo.

My question is, does anyone know what plug is needed to wire this thing? The pins in the sensor are round, not spades and tore the book apart at the parts store trying to find something that works, coming up empty. The numbers on the sensor are 825 which is stamped and 47810 which is cast in the piece.

2 free internets for the finder of this elusive part.

Thanks for the help.

you need the other end of the plug off the cherokee that came off of. just hit the junk yard and cut one off a donor cherokee. youll never find it at a parts store.

X2

While we are on the topic of speed plugs has anyone had a problem after doing a SYE of a leak at the speedo plug? I can't get mine to stop dripping.

One of the o-rings may be swelled or split or the adapter might have a crack in it. Permatex the o-rings and hopefully that should do it.

On my plug, I discovered that the sensor went thru a redesign and changed the plug to a flat style. I'm going to get a new sensor, they usually come with the updated plug. Price isn't too bad either. I'm only going to do this once.
