Default spartan locker question

ok so I have a dana 30 center line axle disconnect and i pulled the outer shafts and then the removed the c clip and slid the axle out. I then installed the locker and proceeded to reinstall the shafts, it was not possible to put in a c clip because of the locker.
so the question is do I need to put in a new one piece shaft or will it be fine the way it is with two piece and no c clip?
any help is appreciated...

no you can not use the locker with the c clip axle!
what you will have to do is get a one piece axle. remove the vac parts, axle and place a hub seal the same size as the new axle in side the vac area hole to keep the diff oil from running out.
