About to put in an order for some bumpstops and figured I might as well order everything I need in one order.

Here is how my set up looks right now:

From the outer nubs on the tires I have 69.25" between the rears and 67.5" between the fronts. I'd like to space it out a bit more for clearance, center of gravity, appearance, etc. especially since the wackers stick out really far. I plan to go 35x12.5 eventually but I am going to keep the 33x10s now since I DD it mostly. Plus the tires are basically brand new.

Anyway, for those of you with spacers out there what size spacing do you think I should go with? I bought the truck with the rims and tires already on it so I do not know the backspacing of them off hand.

Thanks guys but I'd rather get the tires lined up right with the fenders, just never dealt with spacers before. Then it will be good... for now, haha.

Another pic for reference. It seems like the back is spaced pretty will with the 8.8 but the front has some ways to go. The fenders are roughly 70.5" at their farthest point.

So far I'm thinking 1.25" spacers up front to bring the edges to about 70" inches. This gives me .25" of a lip on each side to catch stuff flying off of the tire. Or I can go 1.5" spacers for a total of 70.5" which is the exact coverage of my flares.

The rear has spydertrax spacers on it so I am going to pull that off and see what size they are.

I dont like spacers because it puts extra stress on the hubs/wheel bearings. BUT it looks like once you put a 12.50 wide tire on it it would line up almost perfectly.

If you get them, make sure you always check the lugs, or else your tire will end up like this.

And you'll have a spacer like this:

I am going to go outside and measure my width. One sec. I have 33x12.50 km2s and soft 8s that are 3.75 backspacing. BRB

Yeah, I wish I had the coin for it but it's not going to happen right now unfortunately. Not a big deal though since these 10s work pretty well and give me a bit better gas mileage.

Ouch, what brand were those?

Rugged Ridge. I don't think brand mattered for me, it was my fault for not checking them past a certain time.

I honestly can't tell that much of a difference with my 1.5'' spacers off of my 12.50s. Turning, I can tell. But looks, can't tell.

Oh, and Loctite is your friend. I didn't use it. lol

Either way if I get the 12.5s or stick with the 10's my front set and rear set are still off a bit so I will need to space it regardless. About to go take off the rear and see what size spyder it has on it.

That's a nice looking rig you got there. Real clean. I personally don't like spacers as someone else said, as they add alot of stress to your hubs and back in my mini truck days I had seen someone lose a wheel cause the spacer loosened up and cracked!! Not a pretty site and we were lowered.

If I was wanting my stance wider, I would be seriously looking at different rims. I have the same flares on my XJ with 31x10.50x15 Duratracs on Mickey Thomson Side Biters and they are perfectly flush with the flare. It might be a few bucks more to upgrade yours wheels, but when it comes to safety a few bucks is worth it. IMO

My XJ, not the greatest shot. Taken with phone.

Looks like it has 1.25" spyders on the rear.

So let's see here, if I go with 1.25" in the front and 1.5" the rear I'll be around 70" in the front and 69.75" in the back.

Does that sounds about right to you guys? Also I have a Ford 8.8 rear end on this thing, can I still use the 1.25 spacers out back for the front or is it a different bolt pattern? I'm going to call Spydertrax in the AM if nobody knows but I figured I'd ask.
