sounds like a waterfall in my radiator

After driving when I turn my jeep off it sounds like a waterfall inside my radiator for at least 2-3 minutes... i got a ir temp gun and check my thermostat housing and it was at 200 degrees and my lower water pump outlet to the hose was at 163 degrees ... my radiator is topped off does it sound like I have an air pocket ormy radiator is bad... it doest run that hot just a littlittle over 210 when I go up hills but it goes back down .. New water pump 160 thermostat

That's oil running from the head back down into your oil pan. I thought about it to but after changing my oil while it was still hot, it looked like black water. It's only 30wt

rad cap. maybe its boiling in there cause there is no pressure to bring the boiling point up.

Yeah I 2nd the oil dripping back down into the pan. Mine does the same thing and it's surprising loud. Also have 10w30.

Hmm oil. Sounded like water so I always figured it was coolant. Makes more sense.

When you change your oil with a warm motor it'll make the same noise dripping into your catch pan..

rad caps are cheap...and fail easily.
