Default ? on some steering components?

Hey all, I picked up my first jeep form a co-worker about three weeks ago. I've been cruising the trails with her quite a lot. I knew when I bought it it had a slight issue with steering. First off it's a 93' XJ. Question is I'm gonna be replacing some of the steering components such as the Intermediate shaft, and steering box. The issue at had was when turning left until about 1/4 turn there is not much of a reaction at the wheels. When turning right there is no problem. The other problem is that when off road when crawling over un even terrain or if i jerk the wheel back and forth there is a clunk somewhere along the line. It seems like the intermediate shaft. So I figure start slowly replacing a good amount of steering components to fix problem and to freshen everything up. Is there any aftermarket brands for these products that are worth it? Or should I just replace these parts with factory parts and get at it. It also has a 3 1/2 inch lift I believe he said it was on 31's of that makes a difference in your opinion. Thanks all.

Never replace anything with stock parts, ya break it ya gotta build it bigger and stronger. Theres a bunch of good beefy steering kits out there, just depends how much ya wanna spend. Serious makes good stuff from what ive heard. Might be gettin OTK kit from em soon. Thats just front end steering stuff tho

HAHA I should have figured go aftermarket . Ok so any other opinions on some decent aftermarket basically on a budget. This jeep is a project for pops and myself to go toy in the woods and take on the beach for fishing. My other truck is way to nice to go beat up in woods or on beach. So I don't need to have the best of everything on this jeep just something to have fun reliably.

I'm sorry to hear that you had an issue with our spacer.
The holes for the steering box itself were not properly aligning? Or the 4th rearmost hole was having an issue (the factory tow-hook bracket mounting hole.) The later is not "simple" but the former could be completely our fault.

Please note I'm not trying to steal a steering kit sale from anyone, I just want to figure out what issue you had so I can get it resolved.

The 3 holes didnt line up, had to drill it out a little bit. And I emailed em. This was like 2 years ago maybe longer. Should've been caught during quality control.
