Default So I'm shopping for a transfer case chain

-For my NP231 on my 01 sport.
-I am looking for a heavy duty transfer case chain so I can wheel hard and not worry. Anybody have experience with those alloy types that are a bit more expensive? I read of buying dodge chains that are wider?
Thanks dudes.

look up 231 big chain conversion, good info on what you need to do the big chain swap, the stock chain is good but the thicker chain would make the 231 a boss, minus a 4:1 kit lol

Hey thanks alot for the quick reply and that link. Very helpful. I'm already geard at 4.56 so I don't feel the need to change the Tcase Gearing....
Did you really drop over 300 on that new chain? That's the highest chain price I have seen.
I was thinking of a budget 100 bucks honestly. Maybe 150.
I saw most for around 50-70.

It says on that ad that it's used. Was it super worn, or at all when you got it?
Any idea what truck they originally come from?
I'd like to find one with a new chain, I don't really care if the gears are used as long as the teeth don't look like they've been chewed on by a pup.

not worn at all really...i was supprised that it showed very little chain wear on the teeth.
chain was like new.
been in there for 2yrs now and still tight.
you could buy a new chain if you want, but what they sent me was in like new condition.
i'm more than satisfied with it.
