Higher lift and bigger tires more gear, then you won't need one.

^^^This,,Older xjs 87'-96 have reservoir tanks inside the engine bay, u could get that, wire in the pumps and reroute the hoses. Wires to the pump need to be lengthen thats about it.

Here is a 99 with older reservoir.

Or go with a cowl snorkel. You won't get the same height on the intake but if you're hood deep you probably have bigger problems.

Did you have to re-shape the tank in any way to get it to fit? I have one of those tanks but it doesn't seem to want to clear the brake booster...

Have you removed the air filter box?
Then put washer fluid reservoir in its place.
Put the air filter box back in its place.

Nope. No-go.

I think that this reservoir was originally installed in Cherokees that had the smaller brake boosters. There just isn;t enough room between my brake booster and the air filter box. I think I'm going to need to take a heat gun to the reservoir and shape it a little.

My washer fluid box is in top left corner of my 93 Cherokee. You can try moving it there too.
