Has anyone mounted the Smittybilt XRC rear bumper and swingout carrier? I was curious if it mounts into the frame rails or just uses the stock 4 bolts on both sides.

I would assume they tie into the frame. I would be surprised if they didn't, considering that it has to carry the weight of the tire

it IS smittybuilt.

I just got my Smittybilt rear bumper (although without the tire carrier). It mounts to the frame rails with nut plates in addition to the stock 4 bolts on both sides. I'm pretty pleased with the fit and finish. Lots of compliments already.



Don't mind the trailer wiring plug. I temporarily zip tied it there. The bumper also came with rear lower quarter panel armor.

It's been pushed back many times, latest date is Spring of 2014.

I've had to refund pre-order purchases for these and won't take any orders until they are actually in-stock in the U.S.A.

I'll keep my stock bumpers aside in case something happens and I need to relocate these bad boys...
