slow leak in new extended brake line...
I got a 96 dakota rear line for my 99 Xj as a brake hose extension.
For never working with brakes before I feel like I passed with a B+ on the install. However, I'm not sure if I put the block on the axel correctly. It looks right and both brake lines are plugged into it, but it seems like it is not flush with the axel and has a slow leak. I was able to drive around for a while and did not notice any play in the brakes and did not see a noticeable drop in the level of the fluid under the hood. When I looked down at the new hose, there was a small drip line of fluid going down the axel from the block.
Does anyone have experience with this or have any advice on how to fix it?
Thanks!

is gear oil what goes through the breather line from the axel? (I think that's the center bolt freegdr was talking about) Do I need to refill something that might be low on oil? I'm honestly clueless on this stuff so I need some "dumbed down" descriptions

There is a rubber breather hose that goes from that block up to the "frame" rail with threads on the end. It screws into the axle through the block. The breather is for the rear diff. It will leak diff fluid if you don't have that in there good and tight.
