Default Slotted and cross drilled rotors

Need new rotors. Are those ebay rotors a good investment? Would they help with stopping in the mud?

It's a preference thing. Personally I'd leave the dimpled and slotted rotors for the track and performance vehicles. The irregular surface allows more places for mud to hang out and damage the pads and then the rotors.

For the $ don't worry about it. Depending on what year XJ you have check out the brake booster and master cylinder upgrade. Much better improvement for the $

This works well and should be easy to do on your 2000 as long as you've got the Chryslet 8.25 rearend.
