Don't some of the kits allow you to use a front driveshaft in the rear?

I believe that a front shaft from a jy can be used unless you have a big lift.

Yup just use a front drive-shaft. I don't think I have heard of a kit that this wouldn't work on.

Hold on so I can buy a kit and use a stock front ds on a 6.5 front 7.25 rear lift and it won't break and will hold up

I tried with a 6.5" and the spline was showing on the shaft. too short for comfort. I had e-mailed this guy
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
he said he would have a shaft out within 2 days and he really seems to know what hes doing. price is right. I ended up getting a broken tom woods from a friend and fixing it so I cant speak first hand but I had talked to him a little and was going to buy a shaft.

Will it be fine with 4.75 inch lift. Im in the process of trying to figure out a way to do this for cheap, so with a sye kit and a xj front driveshaft it will work? Sorry to thread jack man.

since we got a little techy. it would in theory work fine with 4-5" lift. NOW, if you have a d35 you may have a problem. the dana is a little shorter than a chrysler rear, or the d44. if you have the latter you should be fine. with a d35 you want to find a zj shaft that came with a v8 and a 231 t case. its 2 inches longer

I ordered this set up. He said he has most measurements from drive shafts he's already done. All my stuff is here, but haven't had a chance to install it yet.
