Default Skidding up, will this skid work with my 99?

There is a guy locally who has this for sale and I was thinking about picking it up just for some extra front protection. I just ordered the JCR Offroad T-case skid, so im good there, but wanted to know if this will bolt up to my 99 or not. The guy says it came off a 94.

this will bolt onto any xj. bolts right to the frame. although the protection it covers is somewhat argueable. this really only protects your pitman arm and drag link. only worth it depending on the price. iv come across these multiple times and bought and flipped them bc they have no use on my xj. id say the cash and get skids that will be more useful to you. like rock sliders or gas tank skid etc.

yea id say thats prolly its biggest and best feature. again it lacks really protecting anything. you shouldnt be running into rocks or anything that would damage the components it covers.

Well I have sliders, just ordered the JCR Offroad tcase skid, and have a gas tank skid already. So do you guys think $30 would be worth it? I guess it would be worth it just to keep the engine bay somewhat clean. LOL

NOT. Definately not worth it in my opinion... I have the UpCountry edition XJ which is where that skid came from and it was the first thing that i took off when i bought the Heep. If you are doing any kind of serious wheeling it will almost be in the way, and its VERY heavy... Just my $0.02

i weighs like 25 pounds. and it doesnt get in the way at all and for 30 bucks its totally worth it because if u end up selling it you can sell for about 100 bucks. your axle gets in the way much more than the skid does.
