Silly question about YJ vs. XJ Dana 44 and Model 35
So here goes. Limited knowledge about XJs.
Will the YJ model 35 and Dana 44 swap over width wise into the XJ. The reason I ask is that I have rear axle truss kits that are bolt on for a really great price, however, they are for the YJ and TJ (two different model numbers). So I was wondering if the YJ one would work.
See it here >> http://www.allensoffroad.com/accesso...-Model-35-Rear
The TJ ones are here on my site. http://www.allensoffroad.com/accessories
Maybe with a slight mod you could use them. thougts?
Namaste,
Allen

what difference does that make? These are for the rear axle.
This is one of the reasons I am not sure if it will work. Here is a write up on a TJ install. Still trying to determine if this is a viable product for the XJ platform.

Yeah duh! I am not asking that and I knew that. I am wondering if, because if the leaf sprung and the possible width issues, this would be or not, a viable product for the XJ platform in there current available options.

I thought you was asking about swapping both axles front and rear,The yj and xj use the same width axle,Like said spring under and spring over is the only thing different i can think of.

I have the kits (YJ M35, TJ M35, and TJ D44) for a really good price. $339.95 shipped. They are strictly bolt on. Maybe someone, who wants to keep their M35 rear, would like some extra support without welding.
That is the point of this thread.
Thank you for your input and helping me clarify the question. See them all here. If you think they would work for you you can get one on the site. They are a closeout item and no returns are accepted. Regular retail is $550.00
Have a blessed and prosperous day!
