I would say long travel suspension, that's if I had a 2wd, my 4wd has 4.5" lift but now I'm working on getting the most travel I can

A new front axel, a transfer case, a new transmission (I believe, but maybe not), a front drive shaft, cut a hole in your floor for the 4WD lever. You may need a new rear drive shaft too, cuz it may need to be shorter.

That's all I got, I bet google would give you a better answer though.

1 main question. Where bould the front drive shaft connect to the transmission. Or is that where the new 4x4 one would come into play

It would connect to the transfer case which bolts to the end of the tranny and both front and rear connect to the transfer case.

Unless you can do the work yourself and have a good parts source, I'd just sell it and buy a 4wd.

just did one on my buddys, you will need 1- 231 t-case, 1 high pinion dana 30 front axle out of a 96-99 preferably, one front drive shaft, one 4x4 rear drive shaft that has the same rear axle as youres, t-case linkage, 1 4x4 trans out of a 91- 97, preferably a 97. the 91-96 require a simple splice. the 98-01 require alot more work. i had to take the back half of the trans apart and change the speed sensor and speed tooth thingy when i put a 2000 aw4 in my 97.
