Default Shock length for 4.5" lift

So I'm trying to put my rear shocks on after finishing up my RE 4.5" lift in the back. The only shocks my local 4wheelparts had were procomp. the rears are 322500 22.5" fully extended. Even with the rear sitting on it's own weight they don't seem to be long enough, about an inch short. I've tried jacking up the axle without any luck. What length shocks do I need for 4.5" lift?

have you flexed it out to see what the extended and compressed measurements are? if not you cant really come up with the correct size

Nope, still working on the front. Best I can tell I need around 25" extended in the rear and 27" extended in the front.

then how can you come up with the correct size?

you can just get what the lift manufacture says but the ones I have seen first hand are never the correct sizes.

flex it out. take a couple minutes. use a tape measure and you will have the correct measurements you need

uh, I can tell because the shocks I have do not reach the upper shock bolts fully extended. 22.5" rear shocks that are about 2" short of the upper mounts. If I was able to get an exact measurement I wouldn't be posting here asking

I said the best I can tell I need 25"ish in the rear and 27"ish in the front.
