Shims vs adj control arms

Installing a sye kit into my 99 xj (3.5" lift, 31's). Shims (vs aca's) will provide the necessary angle correction for me won't they? Or am I comparing apples and oranges?

Thanks

Apples and oranges... no control arms in the rear unless you did a coil conversion and linked it.

And avoid aluminum shims at all cost!
