Default Shackles

I was working on the jeep today and noticed a cracked mid lower passenger shackle 🤔 the things we randomly find right! Crap. Anyway I have the re 3.5 super flex with STOCK bump stops and she flexes very well. Maybe too well on stock shackles .

So what shackles do you recommend to replace with. Also I plan to put her to 4.5 later with shackle and front spacer, maybe with front coil spring but Idk why I would add 4.5 least packs. Anywho new shackles what Is a good source?

I put on a 4.5" lift but had issues with the stock shackles hitting the frame so I went with the Boomerang shackles. Added just a bit of lift but plenty of room for flex,

I also have a 4 1/2" lift using a base 3" Rustys lift used 1 1/2" Boomerang Shackles and ACOS spacers up front, but with that much lift other items are needed.

If you wanna really shake things up, check these out.

I might still go this way, but for now I am pretty satisfied.

What about using the terra flex revolver shackle? Would this provide a stock shackle fix without any clearance issues on a 3.5 lift

Looks like they unload while going down steep hills which is a big nono for Colorado. Are there any stock sized heavier built shackles?

Plenty of places sell shackles. I am running some rusty's 3/4" extended & greasable shackles on mine.

These are all I've found but they are Iron Rock so they're good quality. 0 to .75" lift.

I know many sell shackles but I don't want lift from them just better build than stock. I'll check irons

Very few sell stock shackles in a beefier version...not cost effective.

I got the closest I could to stock.

These would be your best way to buy lift shackles and not have lift and better ride and flex off-road...

I used the iro shackles because my stock shackles were hitting the frame. At the upper hole I got like .5 -1" of lift and the ride was way better.

how often do the leaf spring frame nuts break free. im thinking about having a shop do the swap because if something happens i dont have access to a welder. on the other hand i hate to bring it to a shop for such a simple fix. I do all my own work but im a little worried about the possibility.

Do you have a cut off wheel and grinder? If it breaks it's easy to cut a pocket, remove the hardware, put new ones in, finish, and then have a shop just tack the nut in and covery the pocket.
