Can I run boomerang shackles with 4 1/2 inch rubicon springs?

Will they give me 2 inches of lift to be at 6 1/2

If the boomerang shackles are 4" longer than stock, and vertical at ride height, yes.

so if they have a craptastical shackle angle of 90° from the ground (closer to 120° from spring face) lol

No. its a leaf spring shackle. as long as the bushings arent made of a hard material they will deflect just fine. Slider shackles even exist, that just leaves the spring eye bushing to do all the flexing, and they flex just fine.

is the extra half inch really that crucial?

you could add a leaf to your existing pack for a little more. You could relocate your shackle mounting point as well...

I like my baby sitten level and after the springs break in I still like it level haha
