shackle relocation fab question
So I've been considering making my own shackle relocation brackets to get a better angle and I was wondering how I would go about determining the location for the new mount. I'd hate to do a bunch of work just to have it sit funny. My thought was to have my Jeep sit normal then use a compass (thing to draw circles, not find direction lol) to figure out where my shackle would need to sit to give me a good 45° angle. My only thought on that was after I measured where it would sit, would it actually be in the right place once I put it all together with weight on it? Any suggestions or advice from experience would be welcome.

I would get a longer shackle to start, the stock shackle is a bit small. I havent dont this myself yet, but this is my plan for mine in the future. You dont have to get so "prefessional" with it. Just put the weight on it with the shackle and make marks from there. The leaf spring mount location wont change much, so you just need to find the location od the upper shackle hole.
