Shackle Change Pinion angle
I realize there are a few posts with similar questions but i could only find vague answers to help my situation. I just installed a 2 inch lift on my 96 xj with coils up front and shackles in the rear. i get vibes at around 55mph and sometimes when getting on the accel. i meaured the angles and came up with the TC output down 5 degree's and the yoke up 10 degrees. I thought this seemed like alot for only a 2 inch but could this be due to the fact i lifted with shackles? and in your opinions would 6 degree shims be a good idea, to drop the pinion angle 1 degree below the TC to compensate for axle wrap. any input is GREATLY appreciated.
The driveshaft angle is about 11 degrees just incase that helps answer anything. |
What angle did you set you shackles at? Its pretty uncommon especially especially in a pre 97 xj, to have vibes with that small amount of lift. Did you set your shackles at appx. 45 degree angles towards the rear?
